To ensure that our customers benefit from the best possible service from us at all times, we regularly update our software modules.
On Wednesday, 4 October 2023, we will update our ESB (Enterprise Service Bus). This will ensure the general performance of the modules connected to it.
Procedure of the update We will use an at 10pm AEDT (Sydney) and will last for approximately 2 hours. Of course, we will pay special attention to ensure that no messages are lost. For this purpose, all messages occurring in this time window will be queued. Then the actual update of the ESB will be carried out. Afterwards, the queue is dissolved step by step and the messages are sent again. However, these messages will be processed through the ESB with a certain delay - how long this delay will be depends on the length of the queue.
The update will have an impact on the protel I/O integrations. The integration partners have also been informed accordingly. Especially with kiosk systems, it can happen that timeouts occur due to the delays and that CheckIn and CheckOut processes are delayed as a result.
We would like to point out once again that no message will be lost - there will only be a delay!
Of course we will keep you informed with regular updates on the status during the maintenance.
